Nov 30 2008 The Dangers of eAntiVirusPro

Are you noticing annoying popups showing up on your computer? Or really slow performance all of a sudden? Chances are eAntivirusPro could be the culprit. Malicious software like eAntivirusPro are forcing themselves on computers more often these days and the worst part is that users don’t even know it. These programs trick you into believing that your computer has been invaded with infections and then scare you into buying their software.

Once you buy this fraudulent software, your computer problems just become worse. First, you’ll get a prompt to restart your computer which allows the program to install all of its necessary files to run its fake scans. As soon as you notice this symptom you should take every precaution you can to prevent the install from going any further. The software takes up so much of your system resources that your computer begins to run very slowly. A sign that the install has completely taken place is that you see a fake icon on your computer system tray that warns you your computer is infected.

If any of the above symptoms are exactly what is occurring on your computer than there’s a good possibility the culprit is eAntiviruspro. You’ll want to make sure this software doesn’t impact your computer any more than it already has and to do so you’ll want to remove it. Below are some steps you can take to manually remove it from your computer:

Remove these files and dlls:

database.dat
license.txt
MFC71.dll
MFC71ENU.DLL
msvcp71.dll
msvcr71.dll
uninstall.exe
whctkrj0etfg.exe
whctkrj0etfg.exe.local
pphcjkrj0etfg.exe
eAntivirusPro.lnk
How to Register eAntivirusPro.lnk
License Agreement.lnk
Register eAntivirusPro.lnk

Unregister these values:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\whctkrj0etfg
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\whctkrj0etfg
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run “SMwhctkrj0etfg”

It’s of course never recommended that you manually remove this type of program on your own. There’s a good possibility that the files you remove or don’t remove could impact your system and cause a system failure. The costs of these mistakes could get expensive if you take into account getting your computer fixed and the loss of any important personal files. The most optimal solution is to invest in a good antispyware program. This type of program will protect you from a future occurrence of malicious software installing itself onto your computer.

One program that has proven itself over and over again is SpyZooka. It has gotten excellent reviews by both Microsoft and Wugnet. With SpyZooka installed you don’t have to worry about the files you download, entering your password on your computer or just surfing the web. This program will protect you the entire time. And if you are infected at any time they have a 100% guarantee to remove anything malicious on your computer. It’s a lightweight application (5.19MB on install) and it’s fast with a quick scan taking about 3 minutes and a full scan taking about 15 minutes. SpyZooka also gives the option of SpyGuard which helps to protect your Internet Explorer browsing. This allows you to choose which applications can and cannot be installed on your computer. For $29.95, you get all of the protection you need plus more!

Nov 30 2008 Spyblast – Not One You Want To Fool With!

Spyblast is another of these phony antispyware programs whose sole purpose is to try and get you to believe that your computer is full of all sorts of virus and spyware infections, and that you need to immediately take advantage of their timely offer to help by downloading the “fix”, which promises to rid you of these kinds of problems fast. The fact is Spyblast itself is the source of your problems, and you’ll only invite more in by downloading their upgrade.

Rogue antispyware programs like Spyblast and others like it feed on the fears of less experienced computer users by presenting them with doomsday scenarios that promise the end of their PC as they know it unless they act now. They are quite convincing in presenting you with a long list of supposed “threats” you need to deal with now. What most people don’t realize is that Spyblast part of the problem, not the solution!

Spyblast most likely got on your machine by a Trojan such as Vundo, or Zlob, or possibly a suspect video codec file download, or an ActiveX driveby. It doesn’t matter so much now how it got there: what is of utmost importance is to get rid of it ASAP! Spyblast in and of itself isn’t so much the concern: it is the company it keeps. Spyblast opens the doors of your computer so that sorts of more dangerous spyware and adware, which can make a bad situation worse!

These kinds of spyware and adware applications will delve into any files it wishes, including files you thought were safe. They can include keyloggers that record your computer keystrokes, which can reveal important things like account numbers and passwords. Not good, eh? If you try and do this kind of cleanup yourself you will almost certainly fail. There are simply too many files too well hidden for most humans to catch.

The most efficient way to rid your computer of Spyblast and all its “friends” is to get a legitimate antispyware software solution. The best one I know if is SpyZooka, which comes with a 100% spyware removal guarantee, promising to get you back surfing safely in no time!

Nov 30 2008 Spydevastator Will Devastate Your Computer and You

When spydevastator urges you to scan your computer for the malware (malicious software) that is suspects that you have on your hard drive, just say no! If you have not noticed any problems with your computer, or even if you are paranoid, do not let these popup ads tempt you. When you see the pop up ads that say that you just won free money, you are skeptical. You should react the same way with the spydevastator. And, this time you will not just be roped into a marketing scam, you will be installing malware onto your computer without even knowing it. This program will start infecting your computer the second you click ok to the initial scan. After the scan begins, you will be given a fake results page and urged to spend more money on the full version to get rid of the malware that it found.

This is such a farce. With the many, many hours we spend on the internet and on our computers, we think we know a lot about how they work. However, there is always someone one step ahead of us trying to find an easy way to make money. This is what spydevastator.com is doing. With their fake scan results scaring computer users, spy devastator is easily infecting so many computers with their programs used to lift important information off of your desktop. These Trojan horses that the program uses will let the company access all of your confidential data for their own personal gain. You will also most likely also be hit with many pop up ads and websites you have never heard of. Not to mention the slow speed of your computer after this scan is done.

This coercion to buy their full version of the program is easy after the initial scan. You are now so desperate to get rid of any malware on your computer that you will pay to have them taken off. But, things just get worse because you are now giving them the money to register and your problems have just begun.

If this has not happened to you yet then remember that these programs cannot install themselves without you clicking on something that triggers it. So, when you run across something like this, do not click on them. This may sound easier than it actually is because some are able to appear as regular windows software and trick you into clicking on the wrong place which will start the downloading. Similar to the pop up ads that have you click on the ok button and then you are taken to another website, spydevastator can be just as elusive.

Spydevastator.com is the enemy. Finding programs such as Spyzooka can be your savior. Spyzooka guarantees the removal of such problems and will never give you a fake scan. When you see their 100% guarantee, you will understand the dedication of this company to combat the malware that is out there.

Nov 29 2008 Hardly a Protection Center: pcprotectioncenter2008

There are a host of false antispyware programs out there on the Internet. Collectively, they are known as rogue anti-spyware. Their intent is to trick you into thinking you have a spyware infection, offer their product as a solution, and scam you out of your money. Of course, once you get so far as them tricking you into thinking you have an infection, they have made sure that you actually do at that point. Pcprotectioncenter2008 is one such program.

I’m not one to make a morality call on what you do with your time on the Internet. I’m not your parent, but I will say that there are certain types of Internet activity that are not only considered to be distasteful, but they actually carry a risk of transmitting malware to your computer. Typically, if you view pornographic content, do peer to peer file sharing, or download pirated software, you are in a high risk category of getting infected with malware. Such activity is how people tend to encounter this rogue anti-spyware program.

Unsolicited, it will install a Trojan called Zlob Downloader. This will install the malware on your computer, and tell you that you have a spyware infection; a huge one. What it really does is it counts your temporary files and calls them spyware. The next thing it will do is tell you that you need to download its spyware removal program and demand your credit card information to do so. A major irritation of this situation is that it won’t seem to let you get away from this screen until you actually go along with this scam. Do not, absolutely do not give them your credit card information! It is a scam, it will take your money and it won’t fix the problem. There is another way out of this situation: Push the power button on your computer and turn it off.

Okay, now that that’s done what now? That action only got you out of the hostage situation of having to give up your credit card information to get released from the warning screen. You are now infected with spyware. You have pop ups, and your computer’s running like it’s about to fall apart. It’s running slowly, programs and web pages are taking forever to load, and they may not even work right. Even worse, you may wind up getting pulled back to the hostage warning screen. The warning screen is right about one thing: You need to clean up this infection, even though you may not have needed to clean things up before.

It is because of programs like this that I created SpyZooka. The manufacturers of malware are tireless and relentless in their pursuit of new ways to infect your computer. Most anti-spyware programs just can’t keep up. So we designed the SpyZooka system to have a robot scouring the Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, constantly looking for new spyware definitions to catch them before they catch you. This is how we support our 100% removal guarantee, and with the SpyGuard program, you may never even see rogue anti-spyware.

Nov 29 2008 RegistryGreat – Nothing Great Here Except The Risk!

RegistryGreat is a phony registry cleaner software, one that will promise to clean up all the unneeded and unwanted entries in your Windows Registry that are keeping your computer from working as well as it might. On the surface this seems like a good thing: after all, who hasn’t experienced a slowdown from the sheer volume of temporary files that we create each and every day while we surf the internet. There are literally thousands of them, and most all of them are unnecessary, and seriously affect the speed and performance of our computers.

The problem is, however, that most of us are not up to speed enough to know what an unnecessary file is and what is not. So a software solution of this type would seem to be the way to go. However, RegistryGreat is not the one to choose! It is as illegitimate as the day is long, and will not only get rid of all the phony bad registry entries it “finds”, it will bring along much more dangerous spyware and adware that can and will mine your machine for all your personal data, including financial information such as banking info, credit card numbers and more. All this by trying to do the right thing and clean out your system registry!

What you need is a real registry cleaner, but you can get to that later. What’s more important now is to get RegistryGreat off your computer. Trying to do it yourself is not an option: there are too many files to find, and it can and does reconstitute itself upon reboot, thus making your efforts for nil. Better to opt for a legitimate antispyware software solution like SpyZooka, which can and will find and kill all traces of RegistryGreat once and for all!

Nov 29 2008 SecurityIGuard – Security In Name Only!

SecurityIGuard is one of those rogue antispyware programs that try and get you to believe that your computer is practically rife with all sorts of virus and spyware infections, and then proceed to get you to buy their software solution, which they say will rid of these kinds of computer ills quickly and easily. The truth of the matter is, however, that you do have a problem with spyware and adware, but likely not viruses, at least not yet.

Programs like SecurityIGuard and other others prey on less than savvy computer users who are only trying to keep their computers clean from infections and their information safe. What they don’t realize is that SecurityIGuard is part of the problem, not the solution!

SecurityIGuard probably arrived via a Trojan such as Vundo, or Zlob, or possibly a suspect video codec file download, or an ActiveX driveby. However it came upon the scene, what’s important is that it be made to leave! SecurityIGuard by itself isn’t so much the worry: it’s the neighborhood it creates. It opens the doors to your machine to all sorts of more harmful spyware and adware, which can take a real toll on your personal information.

These applications can mine your computer for all your sensitive data, and send it God knows where!
Attempting to try and deal with this kind of infestation by yourself is no answer either; you will most certainly miss some files and it will be as though you did nothing. You’ll be back at square one with an even sicker computer.

The best way to get rid of SecurityIGuard and others like it is to employ the services of a legitimate antispyware software solution. The best one I know if is SpyZooka, which comes with a 100% spyware removal guarantee, promising to get you back surfing safely in no time!

However getting PrivacyWatcher off your machine isn’t all that simple either. Trying to delete all the files PrivacyWatcher has deposited on your computer is too difficult for most humans. The best solution is real antispyware software; the best of which I’m aware of is called SpyZooka. It will scan your computer for free, and comes with a 100% spyware removal guarantee, which will get you back up and surfing spyware free in no time!

Nov 28 2008 SpyDefenderPro – A Spy Alright, But No Defender!

SpyDefenderPro is a fake antispyware program that is designed to get you to fork over your hard-earned dollars in a phony scam where it tries to convince you that your computer is seriously infested with all manner of computer viruses and spyware. SpyDefenderPro then proceeds to attempt to sell you their software solution, which will not only NOT get rid of the fictional threats it has presented you with, it will in fact usher in all sort of other more harmful spyware adware and fraudware. This is a place you don’t want to go!

Phony antispyware programs like SpyDefenderPro and others like it hope to ensnare computer users who are less experienced and only trying to keep their information safe. What they may not realize is that SpyDefenderPro is part of the problem, and certainly not the solution! They are almost always just the tip of the iceberg as far as what is likely going to happen to your computer if you don’t address these problems. The question is, just how to go about it!

SpyDefenderPro arrived either by means of a Trojan such as Vundo, or Zlob, or possibly a suspect video codec file download, or an ActiveX driveby. But whatever the method by which it arrived, the important thing now if to get it to leave! SpyDefenderPro as we said isn’t really the one you need to worry about: it’s the other programs that come along with it. It opens the doors to your computer to all manner of more nasty spyware, adware or fraudware which will put your personal information at risk.

These applications can troll your computer for all your personal info, and then proceed to send it places you definitely don’t want it to go! If you try and go it alone in an attempt to try and kill this kind of infestation you will most certainly fail. You’ll miss some files where it has planted copies of itself, and possibly worse, you might delete a file you actually need for the operation of your computer.

The best way to kill off SpyDefenderPro and its friends is to use a legitimate antispyware software solution. The best one I know if is SpyZooka, which comes with a 100% spyware removal guarantee, promising to get you back surfing safely in no time!

Nov 28 2008 PestSweeper – Won’t Sweep Away Itself, Which Is A Shame!

PestSweeper is another of those rogue antispyware programs that try and get you to get you to fork over your hard earned cash for a fake virus and spyware fix. PestSweeper runs a “scan” on your computer, and presents you with a list of “threats” and promises to get rid of them once and for all with their handy dandy software upgrade. Not only will this upgrade not work, but it will infect your computer even further with even more harmful forms of spyware, adware and fraudware, some of which could undoubtedly compromise your systems security.

The fact is, if PestSweeper is showing up on your machine now, you’ve already got a problem. But the thing to remember now is to not make the situation any worse than it already is! If you fall for the con of PestSweeper and download their software “fix”, you will open the doors wide open to many more versions of spyware and adware you could have not had the pleasure of meeting! And it will come as no comfort that most of these new programs are a great deal more dangerous than PestSweeper!

PestSweeper could possibly have made its way onto your machine via a Trojan like Vundo, or Zlob, or possibly through a video codec file from a suspect video download. But however it arrived, you’ll definitely want to get rid of it, because if it is left alone to have its own way, PestSweeper and its buddies will hog your system resources, and raid your computer for all sorts of personal info, quite possibly sensitive information such as your bank accounts, credit card numbers and social security numbers and passwords. PestSweeper is not someone you’d like looking over this information!

Getting PestSweeper off your machine isn’t all that easy either. Just attempting to find all the files PestSweeper has left on your computer is way too hard for most of us.
